Bioinformatics Technicians assist bioinformaticians in areas such as pharmaceuticals, medical technology, biotechnology, computational biology, proteomics, computer information science, biology and medical informatics through the collection and analysis of biological data.
Basic qualification requirements
Academic requirements
Typically have a degree or above in genetic engineering, bioinformatics, biotechnology, biostatistics, biochemistry, data science, computer science or related field
Work experience
Collection and analysis of bioinformatics data using software packages, statistical applications, or data retrieval techniques would be advantage.
