Responsibilities
Arborists cultivate, manage and study individual trees, shrubs and other perennial woody plants. They examine the health and value of tree, advise on the appearance improvement and maintaining a safe relationship between the trees.
Basic qualification requirements
Academic requirements
bachelor's degree or a higher degree in arboriculture, tree sciences or related fields, such as botany, biology, forestry, horticulture, landscape architecture, landscape management, landscape science or equivalent
Work experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in arboriculture related work
Industry specific capabilities
Arboricultural project management knowledge and skills
Professional knowledge and skills in arboriculture
Related education and training
Degree or above
Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Horticulture, Arboriculture and Landscape Management
Higher Diploma
Higher Diploma in Conservation and Tree Management
Professional Diploma/Certificate
Professional Diploma in Horticulture and Landscape Management
