Responsibilities
Geotechnical Engineers plan, organise, perform site investigation (on geotechnical aspects) to determine and design the type of foundations, earthworks, and/ or pavement subgrades required for the intended man-made structures to be built.
Basic qualification requirements
Academic requirements
Normally have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or geotechnical engineering discipline. Holders of relevant higher diplomas can articulate to related degree programmes.
Work experience
usually 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience is required

Degree or above
