Responsibilities
Publication Designers are responsible for design specifications for individual books and magazines. Commission illustrations and photographs. Mark up typescript for prepress and prepare rough page layouts and cover/jacket artwork. Prepare design work on publicity brochures and web page design.

Academic requirements
Completion of the higher diploma or diploma in printing / publishing / design or related discipline
Industry specific capabilities
Creativity, artistic ability and knowledge in using design software
