Quantitative Analysts develop and implement complex mathematical models that financial firms use to make decisions about risk management, investments and pricing.
Basic qualification requirements
Academic requirements
typically have a masters (PhD is preferred) within a highly quantitative subject, such as physic, engineering, mathematics or statistics
Work experience
experience with trading algorithms, strong quantitative/ mathematical background experience working with large databases experience in producing quantitative trading strategies
Industry specific capabilities
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work independently
Time-management skills and concentration
