Responsibilities
Dentists examine, diagnose, and treat problems with patients' teeth, gums and related parts of the mouth. They provide advice and instruction on taking care of teeth and gums. They are also responsible for cleaning, polishing or bleaching teeth; and supervising dental hygienists, dental assistants and other staff.

A bachelor's degree in dental surgery (BDS).
